"make sure you child is willing to swallow them, my 7 year old is having issues with this.

also would be nice to know what the appropriate recommended amount to take for the age of the child is.

"I bought this for my son (6) and daughter (4), because it provided more EPA and DHA than any other children's products I have seen. It's great that they can be chewed or swallowed, and that they're very small. They're orange flavored, and my son likes to chew them, but my daughter (4) likes to swallow them. My daughter and I notice the smell of fish oil on my son's breath, and she pesters him about it, but he is oblivious. Anyway, they both enjoy taking them, and I believe they are very good for them."
